Since 2015, we have been fighting for justice against the sectarian abuses of Ogyen Kunzang Chöling (OKC), now organized under the name Mahayana Buddhist Center (MBC), and its leader Robert Spatz, also known as Lama Kunzang.
Convicted to five years in prison with a suspended sentence in Belgium for sexual abuse of minors, hostage-taking, and other crimes, Spatz continues to evade full justice after taking advantage of procedural flaws, lying to the authorities, and using Tibetan Buddhism to justify his crimes.
For these reasons, since 2017, new complaints have been filed in France against a former educator at Château-de-Soleils, accused of rape, and against Robert Spatz, accused of hiding and organizing a code of silence to then abuse some of the victims himself.
Families and friends of the victims believe that other abuses may still be ongoing in Spain, where Spatz and his accomplice Yana have been living since 2003.
It is under these circumstances that some victims have decided to continue their fight in France, despite their lack of financial resources.
